CONCEPT

Located within the cultural district of King Salman Park, this on-going project forms part of Riyadh’s evolving creative core.

It comprises two urban quarters (Q2.1 & Q2.2) aligned along the main boulevard, with a total built-up area of approximately 422,000 sqm and heights reaching G+8 with two basement levels. The mixed-use development integrates ateliers, studios, galleries, and high-end retail, reinforcing the district’s community-driven identity in Riyadh.

Lighting Strategy

ALUZO is currently developing the lighting design framework for the project, tailored to its cultural, urban, and mixed-use context.

The ongoing design focuses on:

  • Establishing a clear visual hierarchy along the boulevard

  • Enhancing pedestrian engagement across creative and retail zones

  • Integrating lighting seamlessly into architectural and landscape elements

  • Ensuring glare control and visual comfort

  • Optimizing light levels and control strategies to support sustainability

Each zone is being carefully studied to define appropriate intensities, distribution, and color temperatures. Ensuring cohesion across the development while preserving the identity of each quarter.

Design Intent

The objective is to shape a refined nighttime environment that balances vibrancy and restraint.

Public-facing areas are designed to feel active and inviting, while secondary spaces maintain softer ambient layers, creating a district that is legible, comfortable, and environmentally responsible after dark.
