King Salman Park is a 17.2 square km transformation in the heart of Riyadh, set to become one of the largest urban park in the world.
ALUZO was appointed to deliver the lighting design and development of the streetscape and Loop in collaboration with Omrania.
Lighting Strategy
The main lighting principles include precise and coherent lighting, reduction of light pollution, uniformity, glare control and warm color temperatures.
Each road typology was meticulously studied to define appropriate light levels, intensities, and color temperatures. Warm tones, strict glare control, and uniformity ensure visual comfort while maintaining a clear hierarchy across the district.
Low ambient lighting and concealed light sources integrate seamlessly within the landscape, reducing light pollution and visual clutter.
Outcome
A streetscape that feels calm, legible, and refined supporting safety, sustainability, and Riyadh’s evolving urban identity.
